The first piece of jewelry you choose when getting a new piercing is often the most important. Depending on the specific place, the jewelry must remain in your body for several months and the material has a direct influence on how well your piercing heals. Fortunately, there are a lot of materials and designs to choose from.

It is also good to know that when you choose a particular piece of jewelry, you can continue to wear that same piece of jewelry after the healing time (with a shorter bar) or put it in another piercing.
